Hello Baby Priority

Hello-Baby-Logo.jpg

The goal of Hello Baby is for every child in Allegheny County to thrive, and for their families to feel supported and connected as they adjust to life with a new baby.  Hello Baby is a collaborative effort among family-focused organizations in Allegheny County including Allegheny County DHS, Health Department, Healthy Start, Family Centers, Nurture PA and United Way of Southwestern PA.  Healthy Start offers support through a program called Hello Baby Priority.

Healthy Start’s Hello Baby Priority program is here for YOU.

Healthy Start understands that new babies bring joy to a family, and that it’s not always easy to navigate the newness of it all.  That is why Hello Baby Priority is offering postpartum families free, voluntary supportive services to help adjust to life with a new baby.

Healthy Start has a team of Family Engagement Specialists, Social Workers, Community Nurses, Fatherhood Coordinators and Mental Health Therapists that is ready to work as a partner with families to help them meet their goals; connect with other services; and obtain resources to help alleviate some of the stresses that come along with a new baby, such as diapers, food, emergency COVID assistance, holiday & birthday celebrations, and other supports to help families thrive.

How Can I Join Hello Baby Priority?

Hello Baby Priority is just one of many programs that are part of Hello Baby.  Eligible families are identified through assessments and community referrals.  Hello Baby Priority staff then contact families to explain the benefits of the program and begin the enrollment process for those who choose to participate.
