Volunteering is an instrumental part of our community outreach efforts. Healthy Start endeavors to engage those who are likeminded and willing to come alongside in our commitment to overcome long embedded inequities in women of color receiving the appropriate healthcare during the critical times of the pregnancy cycle. We further desire to ensure that care and education continue long after the birth in order to eliminate the mortality rates of children of color within the developmental years.
